Ibera RideBot
RideBot Multi-tool

RideBot Multi-tool Transforms into a Bike Stand
–Mar. 30 2010
At first glance the Ibera RideBot looks like any other full-featured multi-tool – and it is – until a simple twist of the wrist transforms it into a bike stand.

Anyone who has leant a bike against a lamppost or a fence only to watch it roll off and crash, knows that bicycles – thanks to wheels and other assorted sticking out and moveable parts – do not lean well. Quality bikes don't normally come with stands, though at times like that you wish they did.

Short of attaching a clunky kickstand or lugging a stand around in your backpack, RideBot is the solution to the wayward bicycle. The RideBot, without extra weight or bulk, turns into a portable bike stand in seconds. It is placed under one pedal acting like a mini forklift to support the bicycle.

Ibera introduced RideBot at the Taipei International Cycle Show, March 17–20. It will be available soon.

Ibera Enters US Market
–Nov. 30 2009
Ibera has announced the launch of its bicycle accessories in the United States. Though Ibera water bottles have been sold on a limited basis in the US for some time, with the opening of a US sales office, the complete Ibera product line will now be widely available.

Ibera president Luke Chung believes the delay was worthwhile. "We have been selling well in Europe and Asia for several years, but we have been patiently waiting to find the right people to work with in the US. I am confident now with Ibera USA we can serve the market well."

Heading up Ibera USA is Chicago-based Robert Lu. "Ibera has excellent products, and some of them, like our clip-on cases for phones or iPods, and the fully adjustable bottle cage, are unique. I am looking forward to showing bicycle dealers how Ibera products will appeal to their customers."

Dual function bicycle water bottle cage
Fine Tune Dual Function Bottle Cage Released
–Jan. 7 2008
The Ibera Fine Tune Dual Function Bottle Cage extends the utility of the bottle cage in two significant ways. Firstly, the Fine Tune's tilt loading function allows the use of a water bottle on a greater range of bicycles, even on very compact frames. On a frame without enough top clearance, simply rotate the cage to place or remove a bottle from either side of the bike.

Secondly, the cage holding arms are width-adjustable, allowing a range of bottles, including small mineral water bottles, to be securely carried. The cage works equally as well with standard bicycle bottles. The Fine Tune cage is made of durable nylon & heat-treated aluminium. It is installed the same way as a conventional cage, and is maintenance free.

Functions
Tilt loading for easy access on compact frames
Width-adjustable for small or standard bottles

• Width adjustment: 63 – 73 mm
• Heat-treated aluminium
• Durable nylon
• Weight: 78g

PakRak Clip-on Luggage System
–Aug. 15 2007
With the Ibera PakRak clip-on luggage system, cyclists no longer need cumbersome straps or bungee cords. Carriers (racks) and bags are integrated; simply clip on a bag and go. Unclip a bag and it becomes shoulder or hand luggage. The PakRak system is ideal for regular commuters and keen light tourers.

Designers at Ibera felt that the bicycle luggage category had not kept up with the times, and that it needed an upgrade. "There are so many disparate carriers and bags on the market; we decided to bring some integration, convenience and elegance to the situation," said company sales person Vanessa Lan.

The carriers and bags are sold separately. PakRak bags can only be used with PakRak carriers, but the PakRak carriers can carry other items or bags.

PakRak carriers are made of lightweight aluminium and come in two versions: a seatpost-mounted commuter model and a full carrier for heavier loads. There are two interchangeable clip-on PakRak bags, both made from ABS thermoplastic and Denier nylon: the Commuter bag, and the Mini Pannier bag with foldaway side bags.

  Design Recognition for Coolhead Bottle
–Feb. 13 2007
The new Ibera Coolhead insulated bottle recently received recognition in the TBEA (Taiwan Bicycle Exporters Association) design competition. Judges at the Innobike competition, held in Taiwan in February, awarded second place to the bottle, citing cyclist-specific functionality and easy maintenance.

Many cyclists enjoy a cool drink on th bike, but keeping a drink cold in warm weather can be a challenge. The Coolhead was developed in response to this need, keeping drinks cool without compromising the basic functionality of a standard plastic bike bottle. Ibera Product Manager Jeremy Hsu said drinking from the Coolhead, like standard bike bottles, is a one-handed operation. The bottle also fits cages and is squeezable for faster water flow.

"There are other insulated bottle options on the market, but not all are suitable for cycling. Some don't fit cages, or are heavy. Others have caps that make drinking while riding a fiddly manoeuvre."

Since its release in January, Ibera has picked up several new international distributors for the Coolhead bottle.

  Coolhead Bottle Launched
–Feb. 2 2007
Many cyclists enjoy a cool drink on the bike, but keeping a drink cold in warm weather is a problem. The Coolhead was developed in response to this need, keeping drinks cool without compromising the basic functionality of a standard plastic bike bottle. Ibera Product Manager Jeremy Hsu said drinking from Coolhead, like standard bike bottles, is a one-handed operation. The bottle also fits cages and is squeezable for faster water flow. "There are other insulated bottle options on the market, but not all are suitable for cycling. Some don't fit cages, or are very heavy. Others have caps that make drinking while riding a fiddly manoeuvre."

The Coolhead bottle, with its double wall construction and a special insulation layer holds 500ml of cold or hot water, or any other kind of drink. The bottle is also highly suited for other sports and outdoor activities.

The Coolhead bottle is available from January 2007.

Coolhead Insulated Bottle, in early 2007
–12 Jun. 2006

Keeps drinks warm or cool
Squeezable for easy flow
Fits standard cages

500ml (17 fl oz)

The Coolhead bottle (IB-WB3) keeps your drink cool, or warm much longer than conventional bottles. It can do this because of a dual wall construction and a special insulating layer that shields your drink from outside temperatures. As the Coolhead bottle was designed specifically for cyclists and sports people, our engineers have not compromised with the function or features you would normally expect from a practical, convenient water bottle. The Coolhead is squeezable for easy water flow; fits standard bottle cages; has an easy pull-up spout (no awkward caps or covers to deal with); and a wide bottle opening making cleaning simple.

Available early 2007.

    Ibera Launches CarriTrainer
–5 Jul. 2005
The world's first integrated carrier and trainer has been developed by Ibera. The unique CarriTrainer CarriTrainer design concept allows a single apparatus to perform the twin roles of indoor trainer and bike carrier. It is a very economical and convenient choice for cyclists who want to train indoors at night or in poor weather, and transport their bicycle at other times. Although the CarriTrainer is a dual-function product, it is a durable, high-quality unit that has all the features normally found on conventional trainers and carriers. Used as a trainer, it is equipped with a wind resistance unit and is compatible with most 26", 27", & 700c wheels. The wind resistance unit can be quickly removed to convert the trainer to a carrier. As a carrier, it transports two bicycles on the rear of most cars and hatchbacks with ease. The CarriTrainer is constructed of sturdy aluminum and is completely foldable. Ibera is currently looking for distributors for the CarriTrainer and other products.
